- Description: संवत् 1631 में तुलसीदासजी ने श्रीरामचरितमानस की रचना प्रारंभ की। दो वर्ष, सात महीने और छब्बीस दिन में यह अद्भुत ग्रंथ संपन्न हुआ। सुंदरकांड मूलतः गोस्वामी तुलसीदास कृत इसी श्रीरामचरित मानस का एक भाग है। सुंदरकांड में हनुमानजी द्वारा किए गए महान् कार्यों का वर्णन है। मानस पाठ में सुंदरकांड के पाठ का विशेष महत्त्व माना जाता है। सुंदरकांड में हनुमान का लंका प्रस्थान, लंका दहन कर लंका से वापसी तक के घटनाक्रम आते हैं। साथ ही उनकी असीम शक्ति, बुद्धि-कौशल और अनन्य भक्ति का पता चलता है। सुंदरकांड का पारायण वाले साधक को असीम ऊर्जा और प्रेरणा प्राप्त होती है।

भूलने, भटकने की कलाकार की प्यास, वक़्त की इन औचित्यपूर्ण, निष्ठा-भरी माँगों के भार में फँसती-सी है। कभी तो यह अहसास, ख़ासे प्रत्यक्ष तरह से, ‘अज्ञेय’ के लेखन में झलकता है। वाक़ई अज्ञेय एक नई भाषा गढ़ रहे हैं, इतनी गम्भीरता से कि बीन-बीन के उठा लाए हैं शब्द जो नए गठबन्धनों में असमंजस से हमें ताक रहे हैं।
‘अज्ञेय’ की कहानियों में विषय की ग़ज़ब की विविधता है, भाषा, शैली की भी। प्रकृति-मानव का रिश्ता है कहीं, रचना-प्रक्रिया पर ख़याल कहीं, प्राचीन मिथक कहीं, और देश-विदेश का इतिहास—रूस, चीन, तुर्की, मुल्क का बँटवारा—आदम हउवा कहाँ-कहाँ ले जाती है जानने, महसूस करने की उनकी ललक।
कहानियाँ ख़ुद कहेंगी। बकौल अज्ञेय : ‘कहानी पर प्रत्यय रखो, लेखक पर नहीं।’

- Description: Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar is considered the Messiah of the Dalits in India. In 1947, the Constituent Assembly appointed him as the chairman of the Drafting Committee constituted for drafting the Constitution for independent India. He played a key role in building the Constitution. He was born on 14 April 1891 at Mhow (near Indore), a small town of present Madhya Pradesh. He was the fourteenth child of Subedar Ramji and Bhimabai Sakpal. Being from the Maharcaste, he was treated as an ‘untouchable’. His father and his grandfather had served in the British Army. Good schools were arranged by the then government for the education of the children of all military personnel. Therefore, despite being from a low caste, he got a good education. In 1937, Dr Ambedkar introduced a bill to end the ‘Khoti’ practice of Mahars working as official slaves in the Konkan region. When India became independent in 1947, he adorned the post of the Minister of Law. He had made a clarion call—‘Lost rights are never regained by begging... but by relentless struggle’. For his remarkable work, he was posthumously awarded India’s highest civilian award ‘Bharat Ratna’ in the year 1990.
