- Description: सामान्य तरीके से जन्म लेकर और एक अति सामान्य परिवार में पलकर कैसे महानता के शीर्ष को छुआ जा सकता है, यह महात्मा कबीर के आचार, व्यवहार, व्यक्तित्व और कृतित्व से सीखा जा सकता है। कबीर ने कोई पंथ नहीं चलाया, कोई मार्ग नहीं बनाया; बस लोगों से इतना कहा कि वे अपने विवेक से अपने अंतर्मन में झाँकें। कबीर मूर्ति या पत्थर को पूजने की अपेक्षा अंतर में बसे प्रभु की भक्ति करने पर बल देते थे। 1 4 वीं सदी में कबीर दलितों के सबसे बड़े मसीहा बनकर उभरे और उच्च वर्गों के शोषण के विरद्ध उन्हें जागरूक करते रहे। वह निरंतर घूम-घूमकर जन-जागरण चलाते और लोगों में जागृति पैदा करते थे। ‘रमैनी’, ‘सबद’ और ‘साखी’ में उन्होंने अंधविश्वास, वेदांत तत्त्व, धार्मिक पाखंड, मिथ्याचार, संसार की क्षणभंगुरता, हृदय की शुद्धि, माया, छुआछूत आदि अनेक प्रसंगों पर बड़ी मार्मिक उक्तियाँ कही हैं। महात्मा कबीर अपनी कालजयी रचनाओं के कारण युगों-युगों तक हमारे बीच उपस्थित रहेंगे। उनकी वाणी का अनुसरण करके हम अपना वर्तमान ही नहीं, भविष्य भी सँवार सकते हैं। कबीर आज भी उतने ही प्रासंगिक हैं जितने उस काल में थे। प्रस्तुत पुस्तक में, वर्तमान प्रासंगिकता को ध्यान में रखकर ही, संत कबीर की जीवनी और काव्य-रचना के विभिन्न पहलुओं को प्रस्तुत किया गया है, जिससे कि पाठकों को कबीर को समझने और उनके दरशाए मार्ग पर चलने की प्रेरणा मिल सके।

- Description: "जलियाँवाला बाग में हुआ नर-संहार इतिहास का अटूट अंग है। उस दिन हजारों निःशस्त्र भारतीयों का नृशंस रक्तपात हुआ। उसके बाद मार्शल लॉ आरोपित हुआ। यदि जलियाँवाला बाग कांड फाँसी के सदृश था तो उसके बाद का अध्याय कालापानी से कम नहीं था। वह कुकांड भारत के आधुनिक इतिहास का एक ऐसा प्रकरण है, जिसे सरलता से भुलाया नहीं जा सकता, भूलना भी नहीं चाहिए। कालापानी की तरह इसकी याद भी हमारी एक दुखनेवाली नस को निरंतर दबाती है। जलियाँवाला बाग नर-संहार तो एक विरला ही दुःख है। यद्यपि इस विषय पर अंग्रेजी में थोड़ा-बहुत लिखा गया है; परंतु हिंदी व प्रांतीय भाषाओं के लेखकों का ध्यान इस कांड से संबद्ध प्रकरणों अथवा उनके विवेचन की ओर शायद ही गया हो। किंतु हिंदी में पहली बार यह काम किया गया है। अंग्रेजों ने इस नर-संहार की घटना पर परदा डालने के जी-तोड़ प्रयत्न किए। और इसमें वे पूर्णतया असफल भी नहीं रहे। कालांतर में जो थोड़ा-बहुत लिखा गया, वह अंग्रेजी कलम से था। कई तथ्यों का पता स्वतंत्रता के दशकों पश्चात् लगा। उन्हीं तथ्यों को इस पुस्तक में समग्रता के साथ प्रस्तुत किया जा रहा है। पाठकगण इसमें दी गई अनेक उत्पीड़क एवं रोमांचकारी घटनाओं तथा विवरणों को चाव से पढ़कर उनमें निहित मर्म को विचारोत्पादक पाएँगे। "
