My Upside Down World
- Author Name:
Ken Spillman
- Book Type:

- Description:
Big brothers are mean. Big brothers spell trouble. And Big Brothers are not to be trusted, especially if they turn your world upside down. Thats what the protagonist discovers one morning upon waking up. The books parallel worlds with their upside-downness and downside-upness weave a fantastic, troubled, creased co-existence, both exasperating and reassuring. Nothing is what it seems like. Read it as a quirky story of squabbling siblings or of something more global, more sinister; each page leaves us peeling multiple layers, especially in a world turned upside down by the pandemic. Ken Spillman adroitly plays around with words and situations both believable and unbelievable, while Silvana Giraldo spins a splendidly broken-but-beautiful world to bring alive a somewhat Orwellian dystopia into this picture book.

storyline and you will find it impossible to escape until the very end. I bought this book from @rachnayeofficial This is my first horror book. So, my experience is pretty much different. As I've not read any single spooky book till date. I really enjoyed it. What made me picked this book ? The story is based on true events. What actually they faced were beyond our imagination, not even in our horrible dreams. I love the stories based on true and real events more than fictional. It’s a story of a business tycoon Neil and his wife Divya Mehta and their destructive encounters with black magic. As the story started with Divya being hospitalized and Neil deciding to narrate his author friend Prashant the abnormal events that they had experienced in the time span. The story seems like watching a scary movie or most horrible abnormal events just right in front of you. But yes, ending could have been better. It's quite predictable. Overall, it’s a fantastic thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat as you would want to hideaway from it but then you would want the secret to unfold and hence you will hang in there.
