- Description: कलकता के टाउन हॉल में मिलीमीटर हट 2 का पहली बार प्रदर्शन करने से लेकर पौधों में तंत्रिकातंत्र मौजूद होने तक के युगांतकारी आविष्कारों के प्रणेता महान् वैज्ञानिक जगदीश चंद्र बसु से सभी कम या ज्यादा अवश्य परिचित हैं, लेकिन जगदीश चंद्र बसु के लेखक और दार्शनिक पक्ष से बहुत कम लोग ही परिचित हैं। बहुत कम लोग जानते हैं कि भारतीय भाषाओं की पहली विज्ञान-गल्प जगदीश चंद्र बसु ने बॉग्ला में 'निरुददेशेर कहिनी' के नाम से लिखी थी। उनके लिखे लेख, विज्ञान-गल्प, यात्रावत्तांतों और भाषणों में उन्होंने अपने जीवन की कई रोमांचकारी घटनाओं को शब्दों में बाँधकर एक पुस्तक प्रकाशित की थी, जिसका नाम उन्होंने ' अव्यक्त ' दिया था। इन कहानियों, लेखों और भाषणों के माध्यम से जनमानस में वैज्ञानिक दृष्टिकोण को जाग्रत् करने का प्रयास किया था। वैज्ञानिक के विभिन्न लेखों मे संगहात शत उन यह लेखन आज भी वैज्ञानिक और सामान्य जन के लिए घनघोर अआँधेरे रास्तों में रोशनी की किरणों की तरह है। वह एक लेख में लिखते हैं--' हमारा मस्तिष्क ही सबसे बड़ी प्रयोगशाला है।'

Had it not been done at that time, the whole of Kashmir would have been an integral part of India today. Pakistan-occupied Kashmir would not have come into existence. Regrettably, it was never brought into the discussion as to why an untimely ceasefire was declared? What was the compulsion? In no history has it been written that the war-winning army declares a ceasefire at a time when a large part of its territory is occupied by foreign forces! Then the United Nations was approached on 1st January, 1948. This decision was also a personal decision of Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru.
